Needs more work.

The graphics and concept are amusing, but the collision detection is way off. You could also stand to make it not start the whole game over every time you lose.

Pretty good, guys.

For a short little game to celebrate Kevin Bacon's awesomeness, I can definitely appreciate this. It's not too complex, but some of the little details are great, making it a more than decent tribute to one of the coolest movie series' of all time. Great job guys!

Good concept

This is a cool concept for a game, however, it would greatly benefit from a lot more effort put into the presentation. Plus, it's kind of buggy.

The game is somewhat original, and I do see a lot of potential here, but again, put alot of time into the graphics, effects and design- you'd be amazed how much difference that could make.

Great Game! Only...

After a little bit of game time it started glitching up on me. My blue selection square thingies at first would not disappear, and then they would just stop working, and then I lost the ability to command my troops. I could select them (with my glitchy selection thingies), but I couldn't make them move or anything.

I really enjoyed what I played, and I hope this gets fixed.

Another Tetris Clone

At best, this is a semi-decent Tetris clone, with a solid presentation. However, it's lacking in too many things to make it stand out from the others scattered copiously throughout the internet.

For one, you can't speed-drop the blocks, only instantly teleport them to the bottom. This slows down the pacing of the game terribly, and also can be a cheap blow to unsuspecting players.

Also, the blocks can only rotate in one direction, a common problem with many Tetris clones on the internet, and a hindrance to the formula of the game.

Finally, without the ability to choose your starting level or music, the game stuck with no variety.

While this is not a faithful Tetris clone, there have definitely been worse. But one day there could be one better, and this is not it.

I would like to see more, but...

This seems like an interesting game, and I would like to see more, but your controls are really awkward for someone who might, say, have a laptop or something. Any chance you can update that?

Nothing new here, plus a bit of deception?

While this is admittedly a decent pool sim (though there are better), I have to say I am slightly perplexed.

Is this rated "M" strictly to attract more viewers? If you give people pornographic hopes only to present them with a very safe for work pool sim, I'm sure it's only going to serve in pissing them off.

Deception aside, The sim is decent. The AI is poor, and there is no real sense of accomplishment given that the game just restarts after every match.

I suggest if nothing else, that you take what you have here and expand on it.

WebCode responds:

Hi, thanks for the review, i rated it "M" just because of the title screen really, i wasn't too sure if to or not, so played it safe.

Very well done.

This was very well executed. I commend you good sir.

My only complaint is that it seems too short. Once I finished the game I felt absolutely no desire to start all over over and have to rebuild my stats yet again (not to say I won't do it again some other day).

It would be great to see more of this. Maybe some added variety (you know, like, something other than just grenades, maybe some more stages.) and the ability to just keep going, with increasing difficulty.

Far be it from me to tell someone how to do something that they're already doing well though.

A great concept!

This game has what it takes to be something great, however I find it to be lacking somewhat.
First, the biggest problem I had was with the music. Such a small music sample (and only a decent one at that) put on a loop is by no means a quality soundtrack, and it definitely brought down the sense of epic scale you appeared to be attempting. The fact that there is no way to turn it off save for completely muting everything adds greatly to this problem.
Other problems I had with it were minor, such as collision detection problems with the floating blocks, and the gems bouncing off of the screen.
Also I'm unsure as to wether or not you can actually get a "game over" on this game. If not, I think that should be rectified, as it lowers the intensity of the game, and along with that there should be a way to recover health (I think your best bet would be having a portion of health replenished for each level up).
All that being said, I think this game has an amazing concept, and is only a few polishing touches away from being an extravagent peice of work. For the most part you've come up with an ingenious way to balance a game that consists of one long boss fight, and I feel that it carries an innovation with it similiar to that of "Shadow of Colassus" or something along those lines.

Great job man, I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!

Dear Lord. That was the most satisfying cake ever.

I spent all day trying to beat this. Granted, I was doing other stuff throughout the day as well, but finally, I finished it.

The concept, while not your own, is completely original through it's sidescroller layout. Many of the puzzles are challenging, some to an extreme amount, although I never felt hopeless (except once, but I managed to beat it all the same).

There were a few times where I would glitch in a weird way, sometimes giving me fortunate results, yet frustratingly enough, sometimes it was the opposite.

All in all this game is a fresh new flash game that succeeds where many have failed, and I do hope you make more.

Another compliment to the fact that you have effectively translated a console game to flash. A rarity in itself, that seems incredibly difficult to pull off. I suggest seeing what else you can do along those lines...

5/5 man. Great game.
